Here in Glaslough there is a very strong sense of community and a great tradition of volunteering.  Our team of over 40 volunteers both young and old have given their time towards these  wonderful events for the past 20 years which make it all possible!!!

The Christmas Winter Wonderland in Glaslough is an indoor/outdoor festive event, held in and around The Oakland Centre and surrounding gardens and play area. 

The festival runs over two days on the first weekend in December. Families, friends and all attendees can stroll through the specially recreated “Christmas Wonderland Village in the Oakland Centre.  Some of the many activities to enjoy include chatting to Santa on the phone, writing letters to Santa, decorating gingerbread men, making festive Christmas cards, visit the Elves in their workshop, playing festive games and joining in the seasonal activities. Adults can enjoy refreshments, teas, coffees, mulled wine and the interactive music sessions singing along to the popular Christmas songs, Hot chocolates and marshmallows for the children also.  Visit the enchanted forest not forgetting to make a special wish.  This is a perfect photo opportunity for everyone.  Some of the highlights of the event is visiting Santa and Mrs. Clause in their cabin in the woods, then stroll through the gardens with lights to take a trip on the Polar Express.  Don’t miss out on this wonderful experience!!!.
